About Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a safe, non‑invasive imaging method that uses sound waves—not radiation—to create real‑time pictures of the structures inside your body. With a long, well‑established track record of safety, ultrasound offers a gentle way to evaluate soft tissues, organs, and areas of concern. Unlike thermography, which looks at physiology, ultrasound is an anatomical test that shows structure. It can be used on its own or alongside other imaging techniques to help identify abnormalities and provide a clearer understanding of what may be happening beneath the surface.

All ultrasounds at Mend are performed by a female registered diagnostic medical sonographer in a calm, private environment.
